Emmaline completed a Bachelor of Visual Art at Adelaide College of the Arts in 2015, and a Master of Arts – Photography at PSC in Melbourne in 2021. In recent years she has explored concepts of fabrication, memory, labour and the relationship between the body and the machine. Her work has been exhibited in galleries nationally, including; Stills Gallery (NSW), Perth Institute of Contemporary Art (WA), The Centre for Contemporary Photography (VIC), and the Art Gallery of South Australia, and has been screened at Arles Photography Festival in France. She has been published in the British Journal of Photography, Artlink Australia, VAULT and Suddeustche Zeitung magazine and in 2022 she was selected as the winner of The Churchie Emerging Art Prize. Since 2016 she has been a co-director of South Australian artist collective The Bait Fridge, presenting experimental mixtures of music, performance, sculpture and digital media nationwide with a youth focus.
