CCP is proud to announce the appointment of Jack Willet as CCP Curator. A graduate of the University of Melbourne’s Master of Art Curatorship program, Willet brings considerable experience from the commercial gallery sector delivering over 70 exhibitions within galleries and in addition to numerous art fairs. For three years Willet held the position of Director at Station Gallery where he led a series of innovative curated exhibitions presenting the work of Australian artists alongside their international peers, creating a new space for the critical assessment of Australian art practice. This engagement of placing curated exhibitions within a commercial context has seen Willet also deliver projects for Neon Parc and includes an upcoming exhibition in Auckland, New Zealand in 2021.
Willet’s commitment to artist-led exhibition-making and programming can be found in his extensive professional history and critical writing, mirroring CCP’s values of amplifying the artists’ voice and the ideas investigated through their practice. Willet will join CCP in mid-August and will take part in our forthcoming Expression of Interest process to develop CCP’s ongoing exhibition and artist-led engagement program. We look forward to welcoming Jack to the extended CCP family.
