In line with current advice from the State and Federal Government and leading Health Authorities, CCP has closed the gallery until further notice. The safety and wellbeing of our community of staff, artists, volunteers and partners is our priority at this time and the incentive for this difficult decision.
CCP will take this time to reflect and rejuvenate, and we will continue to work on our upcoming programs and share our ‘behind the scenes’ efforts, the inspiration we find in the everyday and highlights from the archive via our social media platforms. Follow #ccpconnects
Although we are responding as the news and recommendations from health authorities unfolds, we wanted to share what this closure means for the upcoming program at CCP:
EXHIBITIONS
No True Self featuring seven new emergent voices from Europe, presented as part of the inaugural Photo 2020 festival will be rescheduled to align with the newly announced festival dates of 10—27 September 2020. CCP is proud to be participating in this city-wide celebration of photography and are committed to welcoming our internationally based curator and artists to Australian communities for the first time. We are currently planning our next exhibition that will see us focus on the familial image. Look for all upcoming announcements in your inbox, our website and via the social media platforms.
WORKSHOPS
All upcoming public workshops have been suspended for the time being. We ask that if you have booked a spot that you hold on until closer to the date to cancel or request a refund.
PUBLIC EVENTS AND TALKS
All upcoming public events and talks have been suspended until further notice. Exhibition events are due to be rescheduled and purchased tickets will be honoured.
As we work alongside our peers to navigate the uncertainty of the situation, we hope to offer other means in which to share ideas, view artworks and communicate beyond our isolation chambers towards a more reassuring tomorrow.
We also want to take a moment to thank those of you who have expressed your ongoing support and understanding as we come to grips with the fall out of these events. Your generosity and goodwill have buoyed our spirits in these strange times.
Take care of yourselves and your loved ones, and keep taking photographs!
