Centre for Contemporary Photography is pleased to announce Samantha McCulloch and Frances Wilkinson as the CCP Next Wave Emerging Curators for the 2016 NEXT WAVE Festival.

Frances Wilkinson is an independent curator and producer. She has curated and produced events at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Melbourne Music Week, the Human Rights Arts and Film Festival, Screen Space and Exit Art in New York City. Her curatorial interests are in the inversion and/or convergence of different art viewing spaces; the fusion of art and technology; and most recently, the personification of objects (including art objects). She currently works at Arts Project Australia.

Samantha McCulloch is an artist and curator. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne. In her artistic and curatorial work she focuses on exchange between sites and the objects situated within them. She has exhibited at Substation Gallery, C3 Contemporary Art Space and Seventh Gallery, and has recently curated an exhibition at West Space.

Frances and Samantha met while completing their Master of Art Curatorship at the University of Melbourne and first collaborated as curators for the 2012 Human Rights Arts and Film Festival.
