Members are invited to an exclusive opportunity – a tour led by current CCP exhibitor Georgia Banks of her Gertrude Contemporary studio, along with a guided walkthrough of Gertrude's current exhibitions Weevils in the Flour and Fatigue.
Date: Saturday 7 March, 11:00am—12:15pm.
Cost: CCP Members free.
Location: Gertrude Contemporary, 21 – 31 High Street, Preston South.
RSVP: Places are limited. To book your place on the tour, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Georgia Banks' current CCP exhibition, A Four Letter Word, takes the viewer step-by-step through the arduous audition process for reality television, from invasive questionnaires, police checks, STI and personality tests, to meetings with executive producers and psychologists.
CCP offers Members the opportunity to experience the context in which Georgia works: her Gertrude Contemporary studio. Georgia will take us behind-the-scenes for an intimate chat about her practice. Members will also hear from Gallery Coordinator Siobhan Sloper about the current Gertrude Contemporary exhibitions Weevils in the Flour by Lewis Fidock and Joshua Petherick and Fatigue by Foster and Berean.
Sloper's talk will begin at 11:15am, followed by Banks at 11:45am. Both talks will last approximately half an hour. Please do not come to CCP for this event. We will meet at Gertrude Contemporary in Preston South at 11:00am.
