Twelve figures exit the window. Each figure negotiates the open frame disappearing into the 'real' world where the viewer stands watching. In association with Midsumma 2006, Yandell Walton will exhibit Twelve Exits in the CCP Projection Window. Walton's new work activates an interaction between projected (virtual) and three-dimensional (physical) space, while continuing her exploration of the notion of the contained body as a metaphor for an inner space - the psyche. Twelve Exits uses the motif of the window to create and question the boundary between what we perceive as real and what is felt within.
The CCP Projection Window currently screens 9pm—2am, seven nights a week.
