The Sweetest Path is a series of stills that may be seen as clues to a mysterious narrative. Some are images of empty domestic interiors, while in others figures are glimpsed in silhouette or veiled by curtains. They are ethereal, featureless and fragmented. This is the private world found behind closed doors, where the light leaking in from outside is a presence in itself. It has the power to illuminate the half-seen ghostly inhabitants, calling them into being. The light is warm and hazy, languidly filtering through filmy lace curtains. Reminiscent of the magic hour or moonlight, there is little shadow and everything is strangely visible, yet half seen - like the light we see in dreams.
