The pixel dot and the print quality of a photocopy are quickly changing the way in which we absorb and perceive visual and aesthetic information. We are being exposed to new visual images and new processes of production. New Images explores this new aesthetic sense, seeking to establish both terminological foundations and a broader visual awareness of this medium. Within this meld of photocopy and collage, a spiritual element exists. There is stillness and simplicity not unlike ancient yogic art symbols, comfortably represented in this more contemporary form. These works suggest a representation of micro-organisms which could be seen as landscape, mindscape or abstraction.
