Cyberspace seems to be the catch phrase of the new millenium, all the relevant activities of the New Age will be found there, all the commodities we could possibly desire will be located there. It is a zone into which all our fantasies will be projected. When people talk of cyberspace they often look upward or sometimes gesture towards the heavens, but defining its whereabouts is not a simple matter. Certainly such a space would positively glow from the heat generated by such feverish activity.
I try to think objectively of where it actually exists, and conclude that it must be between the computer monitor at one end, and the destination at the other end, usually another monitor.
Could the word cyberspace be a synonym for pictorial space, the dream-like zone inhabited by a person gazing at a landscape painting?
