In Counter-Space Eleanor Ray presents experiences of the material world intermingled with a sense of inner non-dimensionality, memory images. She finds that in seeking to represent these "non-existent" spaces, they are unavoidably altered, made actual. Her photographs of these material re-constructions contain imperfections that allude to this strange correlation of three dimensional and non-dimensional (inner) space.
