In association with the 2000 Woolmark Melbourne Fashion Festival, Eliza Hutchison's Bohemian Powderpuff traces the avant-garde/artist identity within contemporary Western culture. Hutchison considers the alternative and bohemian within fashion photography, focusing on gesture, performativity and processes of production. Through video documentation and photographic story boards, she presents a staged utopian 'happening' based around a series of specifically designed modular accessories.
