All Prize Winners Paraded is a photographic exploration of Australian agricultural shows. These annual events have persisted despite societal shifts that have seen small towns de-populated. Grant is motivated by her own experiences of growing up in the country and this series is an attempt to use the microcosm of the rural shows to examine broader issues about an Australian cultural identity. In her visual interpretation of the shows, Grant is particularly drawn to the displays and activities created by the women of these rural communities. Within these details central values that are encapsulated in the subtleties of rituals like setting a table or preparing food remain constant because they are crucial to a community's sense of itself. Grant's photographs are an attempt to record something of this behaviour and the quiet, yet determined, persistence of culture it represents.
