It is often forgotten that when A.M. Turing set out in 1950 to consider the question, 'Can machines think?', he devised not a 'test' but an 'imitation game' in which prevarication, confusion and lies were perhaps more important than accuracy, knowledge or intelligence. Alice's Conversations in Cyberspace is not 'Artificial Intelligence'. It is an imitation game and an experiment in 'simulated' personality and conversation. Alice has attitude. She is a little crazy and a little confused. She is by turns curious, bewildered and playful. Her conversation is restricted to excerpts from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass (1865). So you can say or ask her almost anything at all, but (like most people) she's got her own agenda, and she likes you to play her game.
Alice played by Ashley May Mariani.
