Outline

This is an opportunity to join Georgia Metaxas on an intensive two-day course on contemporary portraiture practice.

Session 1 — Sat 28 Mar (at CCP)

On the first of this two-day course, Metaxas will discuss 'what is contemporary portraiture practice?' Drawing on her own projects as well as introducing the current contemporary practice of others, Metaxas will talk about working processes, approaches and methodologies. The Masterclass will be conceptually and project driven, rather than technically driven. Giving insight into her own practice, Metaxas will go through in detail how to deliver a portraiture project from start to finish. Including access issues, working with diverse groups, overcoming technical difficulties, post production, responding to space, hanging & lighting and alternative framing techniques.

Session 2 — Sat 29 Mar (at CCP)

On the second of the two-day programme Metaxas would like to invite participants to present their current projects in a round table discussion.
