CCP and Nikon Professional Services (NPS) will present a members' evening with special guest, multi-award winning photojournalist, Bruce Postle. With a career spanning five decades, he is one of the great photojournalists of the 20th century who has chronicled Australia's social, political and sporting life. This is a rare opportunity to hear from Bruce as he looks back over the highlights of his monumental body of work.

Bruce Postle started his career at Queensland Country Life then moved to the Brisbane Courier Mail followed by the Melbourne Age. His photographs form an important contribution to the illustrative record of the nation's social, political and sporting history and are represented in numerous national collections, including the National Sport Museum, MCG/Melbourne; National Portrait Gallery, Canberra and National Library of Australia, Canberra. Bruce has shown his work in some 20 exhibitions and was inducted into the MCG Media Hall of Fame in 1996 in recognition of his contribution as a Photographer to Sport. In 2007 he was awarded a Quill Lifetime Achievement Award by the Melbourne Press Club. His third book, The Image Maker, a 400-page retrospective of his life as a press photographer, illustrated with over 450 photographs, was published in July 2011.

Three of Bruce's prints will be raffled on the night. These have been generously donated by the photographer and printed and framed by theLightRoom who have also kindly donated three $50 print vouchers.
