CCP is pleased to announce Neale Stratford, the winner of the 2008 CCP/Colour Factory Award for an Emerging Photographic Artist. Neale Stratford's solo exhibition, Making Faces, will open on Friday 31 October in Gallery Two as part of Centre for Contemporary Photography�s annual program. He is currently completing a Master of Visual Arts at Monash University
Neale Stratford's work was chosen from a large number of entrants from around the country by judges; Corbett Lyon, Professorial Fellow, The University of Melbourne, Director Lyons Architects and Art Collector; Jane Burton, Artist; Phill Virgo, Director, Colour Factory.
This is the fourth year the Award has been presented at CCP and sponsored by Melbourne-based photographic imaging and display company Colour Factory, who will generously provide Neale Stratford with large, colour exhibition quality prints and consultation. Colour Factory is proud to support the visual arts by sponsoring this Award which aims to encourage excellence in photographic practice. Through the provision of a solo exhibition CCP provides a space for emerging artists to gain formative experience in exhibition development and presentation.
