CCP is pleased to announce Clare Rae the winner of the 2009 CCP/Colour Factory Award for an emerging photographic artist. Clare Rae’s solo exhibition, Climbing the Walls and Other Actions, will be held in Gallery Two as part of CCP’s annual program. She has recently completed a Bachelor of Art (Fine Art) (Hons) at RMIT.
Clare Rae’s work was selected from a large number of entrants from around the country by judges: Milton Harris, Collector, Contemporary Art; David Rosetzky, Artist and Phill Virgo, Director, Colour Factory.
This is the fifth year the Award has been presented at CCP and sponsored by Melbourne-based photographic imaging and display company Colour Factory, who will generously provide Clare Rae with large, colour exhibition quality prints and consultation. Colour Factory is proud to support the visual arts by sponsoring this Award which aims to encourage excellence in photographic practice. Through the provision of a solo exhibition CCP provides a space for emerging artists to gain formative experience in exhibition development and presentation.
