ANNE ZAHALKA’S THE BATHERS (1989) A GRAND SUCCESS
CCP is delighted to announce the success of the CCP Limited Edition Print 2008 fundraiser.
In support of CCP, Anne Zahalka’s edition of 12 prints has sold out, raising $54,000 with 20% of the sale going to the artist.
One of Australia’s most highly regarded contemporary artists working with photography, Anne Zahalka has exhibited widely throughout Australia and internationally for over twenty years. Her works are held in most major public collections in Australia as well as numerous private and corporate collections in Australia and abroad.
Funds raised contribute to the presentation and practice of contemporary photography through provision of exhibitions, education, public programs and publishing. CCP raises over 50% of its annual income through memberships, courses, fundraising, sponsorship and donations.
CCP occupies a unique place within Australian contemporary art; a place where emerging artists can gain a formative experience in developing and staging photo-based exhibitions; where practicing photographers can find new audiences and critical attention; and established artists can experiment with new directions. CCP presents education and public programs to communities ranging from youth at risk, upper secondary and tertiary students through to professional development for teachers and folio programs for practicing photographers.
Anne Zahalka is represented by Arc One Gallery, Melbourne and Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery, Sydney.
CCP would like to thank Anne Zahalka, her representatives, sponsors, donors, Calendar Cheese Company and those who purchased work.
