Lanier Zine Project - CCP Term 3 Holiday Program

An opportunity for young people to produce their own zine* with artist Jeff Stewart, in a three day workshop at Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP). Jeff has been a teacher for a number of years at the Artful Dodgers Studios producing zines, and has worked at Swinburne TAFE. He has also produced a series of 9 editions of his own zine One From The Heart.

*A zine (an abbreviation of the word fanzine, or magazine; pronounced "zeen") is most commonly a small circulation, non-commercial publication of original or appropriated texts and images. More broadly, the term encompasses any self-published work of minority interest usually reproduced via photocopier on a variety of colored paper stock.

Taking place in CCPs Visy Education space, the workshop is limited to 15 participants; so book early to avoid disappointment. Refreshments will be provided.

It is recommended that participants bring as many of their own drawings, photos, writings and poetry as possible as a starting point to produce their zine. All tools and paper are provided.
