Kodak Careers in Photography will explore pathways to becoming a professional photographer, through various avenues of professional practice including photojournalism, fine art and commercial photography. It will also address training and employment opportunities and making decisions about a career in photography.

Bringing together exemplary practitioners in their fields: Valerie Sparks, artist will talk about her art practice; Meredith O'Shea will discuss her career combining photojournalism and wedding photography; Ben Glezer will talk about his career as a commercial photographer; Paul Gurney, Executive Director of Next Wave Festival will discuss opportunities for emerging photographic artists; and Peter Cocklin, Kodak, Group Business Development Manager, Professional, will introduce the seminar chaired by CCP’s General Manager, Rebecca Chew.

Other issues addressed will be support networks, keeping informed, studio spaces, galleries and grants and promoting yourself as an artist and professional photographer.

Taking place in CCP’s Visy Education Space, the seminar is limited to 25 participants, so book early to avoid disappointment. Refreshments will be provided.
